dirge /derj/ n. 1. a lament for the dead. 2. a mournful song or piece of music. - ORIGIN Latin dirige! 'direct!', the first word in a psalm used in a religious service for the dead.

Its about the living, the dead and the unborn. Dirge is communing with the dead. Bringing their voice to light. Originally conceived as a live project back in 2014, the 11 tracks on 'Dirge' are outtakes from studio sessions, jams and rehearsals. The spontaneous compositions utilize binaural beats, electro-acoustic guitar loops which are sampled and processed in real-time generating other-worldly sonic sculptures. These have a transcendental quality and thanks to their sombre, predominantly ambient nature are perfectly suited as the soundtrack to activities like meditation, yoga and philosophy.
